I was helping a friend clean his stove after work tonight. I started on the blower and he hit the fire box. I'm cussin cus the previous tech glued the blower motor to the housing. My buddie goes hay look what I found!

Poor little guy must a flew into the chimney, Then down the pellet pipe! Into the stove. Looks like he needs a better cap on the chimney! Proof it can actually happen anyway!

Yup I get birds, Bats, Mice, Acorns and toys out of stoves all the time

It seems pests and kids are the sworn enemies of all heating appliances.

If you peruse all the heating forums out there you will hear similar stories as folks run their furnace, boilers and stoves for the first time this season.

8 crisp new 100 dollar bills..... I forgot I hid in the firepot. I also found a crusty old dried up starling in the exhaust blower on my furnace. The vacuum switch kept kicking off so I tore it all down and there it was in the exhaaust side of the blower housing.
