Colorado- near the Divide
Driving to work for maybey half mile, approaching the tunnels at 11K. Everything above tree line had a decent dusting. It's too soon for this.

It was 85 plus yesterday and may hit 90 tomorrow (cooler today)- I have the largest habaneros I ever saw still on the plant but they need this weather to ripen. A little bit of what you're getting out there would be the end of it

Snow in September certainly is not unusual for the mountains and Michigan over the years has seen plenty. We won't this year though. But, we do hope you keep the snow out there for a bit yet.

Pretty normal, third week into Sept. and here it comes. Warming back up for the next week, but it'll be back. Loveland is talking/ debating whether to start snow making operations already.

None here yet, but there's plenty of time for that. Let's allow fall to unfold for awhile.

Pics? I love snow!

I know up in Canada they had some snow this week.

Nice!!! We usually don't start getting significant snowfalls here until the latter part of October.

I guess I need to start thinking about getting that rebuilt carb back in one of the Polaris sleds and dust off the snow blower. :)

We had our first dusting this AM also. 3cms or approximately 1 inch. No snowmobiling yet. Still lots of lake fishing to do. :cheese:

Snow? What is this thing you call snow? We're still mowing lawns around here. Haven't seen the white stuff since the February blizzard. Probably won't see any until late November, if then.

Had a snow cone today.. it half melted on the way back to the car...

I think there was a light dusting in the Truckee Ca area a week or two ago around 8 to 9000 feet. @nd place isnt to bad! We can call it tie! still havent lit the stove yet. Bedroom window is still open!

Peaked at 32C in my little piece of Canada today. Was hoping to burn some uglies tonight, however I had to run the AC for a bit instead.

You sure it wasn't ash from the fires down in Boulder??

At least you are not being burned down as they were. Lucky you have snow to moisten things down - we 'flat landers' need all the snow you guys get so we can water our lawns come spring time.

Our temps down here remain in the 80's and all is really dry - including my lawn. Firewood is looking really good and ready to go.

Well Beetle, you started it.............Thanks alot..... but I am still going out on the lake to go trolling tomorrow and you cant stop me. :coolsmirk:

Oh, Hell No! North- I'm sorry, that looks like a good inch of that heavy wet crap. Mines already gone, except for the back of Herman's Gulch( it stuck in the back of that canyon, can see it from the road). You keep it, I'm not breaking out the black Carharts yet.

Earlier this month we got a little snow in the highest parts of the mountains. Funny thing is it snowed the day after we went and cut wood. It was cold and gray the day we cut wood, it felt like it was going to snow. When we headed home it was about 3pm and a cool 42f when we got down out of the mountains it was a lot warmer probably close to 70. We were up at about 8000' and home 4200'. Since then the snow melted and it has been all the way up into the 80s again.

Been snowing on the slope (Prudhoe Bay) the last couple days I guess (my neighbor works up there)

It's in the 40s here, but very windy, 70-75mph gusts. I found out the hard way that cording wood with the end of the cord against a tree doesn't work out so well. Woke up this afternoon and about 3 cords had toppled over.

Nothing like having to cord it twice eh?

It was 70's and 80's this week, about 85 today. Love it. My goal for this year was no burning before Columbus Day and hope to wait until after Halloween. After Thanksgiving is almost 24/7. If it is lows in the high 30's to low 40's in October, I will let the furnace do it's thing. I wasted a lot of wood last year in shoulder season.

approached 90 today in Central Jersey.. No joy in mudville today.. Closed the pool but jumped in for a swim before hand!!
