While we were having fun in the sun up in New York's Finger Lakes a major storm came through near home this week. We didn't get home until 3 days after the storm but I thought why not put a listing on CL for tree removal. Got a call from somebody in town and it didn't sound like he had much but I told him I would drive by and take a look. He only had a few maple branches so I kept driving by to see what damage has been done. Came across a crew getting ready to tackle a pin oak with a large chipper in tow. The person in charge said I'm welcome to whatever I can take. It's a fairly large tree and the even larger one across the street will be coming down too! Brought home my 1st 3/4 truck load(I ran out of energy)..I wasn't planning on going back today but I thought I better show them I am good for my word. Plan to make several trips and by my less than expert calculations I think I'll come away with 3 or 4 cords...pics will follow. Tree guys say they have others to work on including some locust. Hope I can keep up with their expectations!

There was a lot of tree damage, some very old trees are no more. It's a shame but I'm making the best of it!

How much can you fit in your pickup? I have over 3 cords to pick up with my brothers F150, I can probably use my Tacoma too to get it done quicker, just wondering how many trips it will take me to get it all home.

I can fit a lot in my F-250...I have some side rails on it so a full cord is no problem it's s/s, but I'm just throwing these in as I want to clear it up ASAP. I figure if I'm prompt and fairly quick they'll keep me busy!

I'd get on it. You'll be glad once its stacked in your yard for sure!
Since it did happen....here are some pics. 2 truck loads so far, the heaphauzen is growing. The tree is what's left after 2nd load.
