Checked the chimney, took the plug out of the vent, checked for mice and other varmints, threw in a bag of pellets, changed batteries in the CO detector and smoke detectors, plugged her in and hit the button. 3 minutes until smoke, 4 'til flame. Guess it's the season.

For some of us it appears that way.

Happy burning.

Hoss, nice fire! :)

How many season's on the revolution so far?

I am still holding out here, But very tempted as the house temp is 68ºF. Tomorrow is supposed to be even cooler out. Will see if the Mrs. gives me that "I'm cold" look!

This will only be the 3rd year, J. Didn't really need the fire today, but have the week off, figgered I'd better see how it would go while I had time before cold weather. Time off to fix anything that's broke, order parts, ya know?

Me too...Got home from work yesturday and the daughter had put the boiler on!...That didn't last long...threw in a bag and fired it up...

i fired mine up yesterday.this is the first year with my freestanding meridian and man is it a nice fire.i liked my englander except for the 9 by 9 glass to view the fire.i picked up a few bags of the premier hardwoods (appalacian) at the new tsc in taunton and they burned realy good in my stove.this weekend is their grand opening and it's 10% of your final purchase.thats $200 per ton so i'll grab 2 ton for the shoulders and visit june in berkley for a ton of okies.i'll be one happy camper.

Burning now for the last 4-5 nights. Toasty warm. New OAK, bay window glass doesn't seem to be getting dirty as fast. Not running during he day. Best part is having the dampness out of the house.
