No burning yet, BUT looks like a cold, windy, VERY rainy day and night may put that to bed tonight.

Methinks that there will be a cold chill in the house when I get home that will be callin' for a fire.......

burning now....and i have burned about 6 bags so far this year....i can't imagine s reason to hold out. If its cold in the house...i fire up the stove...seems like the logical thing to do.

I burn from the basement up, so it takes a while to get heat upstairs. Until I get a good cold spell, or a raw one like today I hold off. Also, I like it around 62-64 anyway. The warm sunny days takes care of that.

I've fired the P43 a couple of times in the last week.
Burn it for an hour or two to take the chill out of our kitchen.
Gone thru about 1/2 a hopper, with one more bag of CF on deck.
4 tons due here next week.
Bring it on!

Sorry G, I just dumped in bag #4 and I've had the stove on for about 2 weeks. But I got the little guy as an excuss! :p

Or I am getting old and the bones just don't like it below 68ºF anymore? hehe! :) 72ºF feels so mauch better!!!!

Couldn't agree more!!! Got a newborn at the house, so we're keeping it cozy AND I work hard for my money and I like the way 72+ feels, so I'm on my 8th bag so far this season! It feels so much better tossing in a bag since I've had the pellet stove than turning up the thermostat used to feel...

Tried to make it until the end of the month but the wife was cold so I started the stove 2 days ago. Since the high here was 38 I would of caved today anyway.

No holding out here either. Been burning off and on since mid September.
Would rather fire up the stove for a few hours to get out the chill than fire
up the furnace. ;-)

I guess we caved about 2 weeks ago. Running mainly in the AM.
44 and rainy out right now. Will be running it shortly. Still 70 but won't last forever!

As much as I tried to hold out until the 15th, I had to cave about 10 days ago. And tonight is so raw, cold (47 °F ), and windy here, I am VERY glad to have the stove going.

I'm burning my 3rd bag.

My wife caved last Saturday after having spent the day at our son's camp.

Seems the wind, clouds, and a cold front gave her a good chill.

When we got back home she said turn on the stove, so I turned on the stove.

I guess it was a good thing that I finally got it cleaned and ready to burn earlier in the week.

I could have waited until this weekend, I mind the heat far more than the cold.

tried to hold out but failed. lit her up 2 times this week had a few bags from last season, still need to stock up

Still haven't caved in :) It's supposed to be cold tomorrow and tomorrow night so maybe? Either way, I'm ready!

Hi all. Just finished giving my stove a good cleaning today. I have it loaded and ready to go. I'm going to hold as long as the wife can.

just got my OPB put back together on monday, I just can't put up with burning all day to only heat at night, once it is below 60 all day I plan on firing up.

If it's under 70* in the house, it's cold. It's 82* right now. About 20* outside.

I gave in last week, I have a little one too. on my 6th bag

Nothing yet, tend to use the oil until December, have to conserve the 3-tons for the cold months. My P-68 (in basement) is definetly a pellet pig!!

Its been cold and rainy here so the stove has been on low for the past few days. Before that it was on only in the evening to take the chill out of the house.

I have been happily been burning 4 or 5 uglys at night past couple days. it's been keeping the house about 74!

Oops sorry I didn't know this was the pellet gang. I'm also known for bringing old post back to life sorry!

Why pay the oilman? Been burning the last few nights, today cool and windy. I will keep a mellow fire for the day most likely. Cleaning up the splitter trash and pine bark outside, got the firepit going as well.

Maybe some grilled meats on a hardwood fire later tonite? With a beer or two of course.
