Just stopped by Lowes in New Haven Ct on my way home and was quoted a price of 196.00 / ton, This is down again from 300 at the beginning of the season and from 218 about a week or so ago.

I am going to try to use the 10% off movers coupon with my order to bring it down to 176'ish. (Low price for this area)

Lowes has these pellets to choose from

Green Team
Presto
Clean Energy

I am going with the Green Team because I have had good luck with them in my stove. I wasn't impressed with the Presto's, and I'm unfamiliar with Clean Energy.

Anyway just a heads up....................

EDIT:

So I bought a ton, The pellets are 218.00 a ton, Lowes is currently running a 10% discount special (I looked at the sign but forgot when it ends, sorry) which took the ton down to 196.00, I then added another 10% off coupon at the register. They didn't want to stack the two 10% off, but a little arm twisting did the trick.

Anyway my final price was $176, "cha ching" great price for this area.

The greenteams I got this year from lowes are hotter then what I got last year. Thats a real good price for sure.

lowes in raynham ,ma same price.$298 to begin the season.dropped to $269 a while back and just today i stopped in and they are at $3.94 per bag.

WOW, very good price.....

Derby store also has that price......telling my friend who's looking for green team.....

Hopefully those prices will sneak up north a bit more! I liked the Greene Teams. Above average and my stove had no issues with them. Best Lowes price near me is $218.50 less the 10% coupon. Be nice to get something under $200/ton!

I hope they get some Clean Energy's so I can try them. I just like knowing whats out there and you just never know if thats what you gotta burn for the season.

I'm not a Pellet Stove user, but........at our local Wallingford, CT Lowes, they are $218.00 a ton.

Very nice of you to look out for use pellet burners soupy. Happen to notice the brands?

Your not tempted to our side are you? Just think no bugs! (jk really jk!) :)

$176 is a great price for the green team. I will stop by the Derby location tomorrow and grab 2 bags to try out.

After seeing some of the prices posted here lately I was tempted to put the 25-PDVC to work more this winter and save some cord wood. While I was in town today I stopped in at Lowe's and they want $5.79 a bag. Bought a couple of light bulbs and left. With the back of the Suburban still empty.

Gonna be a buyers market this winter!
Lowes in Bridgewater MA is following Raynham with the pricing. Haven't seen pellets under $200 a ton in
many years. Tried some Green Team last year and thought they were pretty good too.

If my storage area was not already stuffed full, I'd be getting me some.

Nope, on both counts. Didn't notice the "brand" of Pellets, and not interested in converting over. Just thought I'd point out what I saw for price variance even WITHIN our state.

Where I live Home Depot has Eurekas down to 179...

I'm going to try my Lowes this weekend and see if they honor the 10% on top. I may just order 4 tons and be ready for next year also.

LMAO! You better get back over to the wood side! ...... if you were worried about flying woodstocks wait imagine if they found out you were burning pellets! Lol...... but. Hey , why let the stove collect dust? I have found that running my pellet stove I can heat most of my house in the shoulder season..... I think I might be going to lowes.....:)

I confirmed this deal at the Lowes in Kingston NY. $780 for 4 tons delivered. I also got 12 months no interest on my Lowes card. Can't beat that deal. I'll now have a total of 7 tons which should easily get me through 2 seasons. Does that qualify me as a pellet pig??

Where are you storing your pellets? I would love to add to my four tons and am contemplating building a pellet shed. I have burned Green Team for three years and they are a good pellet. Got 3 tons of Barefoots so the Green Team are the "shoulder pellets" for now.

I've got a 3 season porch that I don't really use for anything but storage, so I have 3 tons in there which makes it very convenient to just walk through my french doors in the living room and just grab a bag. The 4 tons will be stored in my one car garage that I also don't use for anything but storage.

I picked up a ton of Cubex today at BT for $245. Probably going to head to Lowes tomorrow and pick up a ton or two of somersets for $198. That'll get me through the winter with very minimal oil use. Open floor plans are great.... I'll burn my left over 10 bags of Pres to Logs in the shoulder season. I can't be rid of them quick enough.

I never understand how everyone finds these great prices on pellets, I went to Lowes this afternoon thinking I would get a good deal also, Summerset pellet which are made here in Kentucky are 268.00 per ton. It sure does surprise me that they came ship the same pellets up north and they become cheaper.

Wow Jakethepup, I stated in an earlier post that I recieved 4 ton of Somersets for $212.00 a ton, delivered to my door, from a dealer 65 miles south of me. I could have picked them up myself for $189.00 a ton. I figured you guy's down in Kentucky must be stockpiling Somersets at a secretly low low price. Guess it pays to live 571 miles from Somerset, Ky.
