Harman XXV owners-------- what pellets do your stoves like best?

My stoves like ALL of them and even with a mix of corn.

I am the one that is picky ;-)
As long as I can afford it, I will go after the better brands. More Heat-Less Mess.

My top 5 to date:

NEWP Green Supreme
Dragon Mountain
Spruce Point
Okanagans
Barefoot

As per a close friend's XXV: without the corn...interesting though.

Nice to know. My breckwell seems to LOVE the Green Teams. actually Better than the Hamers. if the XXV will eat those as well then i am in good shape. Thanks Guys.......

Nice lineup tink. I thought you'd like them Spruce Pointes. Have you ever tried a Douglas Fir pellet?

Interesting....4 out of 5 Super Premium softwoods and a upper end hardwood (one of the best)....but I thought they didn't use softwoods in NE....that is what some dealers want me to believe.... ;-) .....maybe tink knows something they don't.

Some of us understand that once compressed into a pellet. The fiber is equalized. Softwoods are gaining ground, But there still hard heads that think like the wood stove boys/girls. High heat and clean burning is a softwood pellets trademark.

with that Logic i need to investigate more.. Most of what others burn here i can't find. and in saying that, i sure can find the brands that Most dislike......

my evil plan is to purchase at least two more tons of Green Teams.

Greene Teams burn just fine in an XXV. A bit more ash/little less heat than the real premiums, but no problems. Would work great for heating a living room area.

Not yet. Burned the GS exclusively till forced to find a replacement last season ;-)
Hardwood pellets still dominate the market around here so its not easy to find the good stuff at a reasonable price.

My XXV will burn just about any pellet you put in it. It does seem to burn very efficiently though with softwood pellets. Having used a bunch of different brands I have settled on only softwoods....from Canada and Colorado if possible!
