I second that, Stopped by Lowes in Orange / West Haven yesterday and they had Somersets in stock, Bit of a drive and haul for me or would have pulled the trigger on those.

Sucks with no Yankee baseball anymore this season. I'm listening to Mike Francesa now do some hot stove stuff about next year

Sorry to double post but nice going bro.

This a regular deal, special or did you use coupons etc.

Nice deal going on in Vermont............ Road Trip LOL

I used the ol' "HD is selling by the ton for 195...." lowes will match and beat by 10% then i pulled my military ID out and got another 10% off....lol...... Love discounts..... :coolhmm:

Go Giants, great price, let's burn the cowboys tonight !!!!!

Probably a bit wet with all the Crying down there!!!!

Lowes on Long Island still $299.00 but can talk them into $275.00. Home Depot at $269.00. That is before any coupons for either. I would love to see low $200.00's

I tried that but using the " lowes 30 miles away is at 195/ton" the best he did for me way match their price. I still saved $103 per ton for summersets :)

Lowes in Wallingford Connecticut has all wood pellets @ 176.00 per ton. I thing the Green teams are mostly gone , they now have Stove Chow??

glad to hear you boys are getting killer prices from Lowes. down here in Va. its another story. i went today to our local lowes and the price they gave me was 5.97 per bag with NO breaks per ton! i mentioned that last year they gave substantial discounts for those purchasing per ton. he quickly responded by telling me i was "WRONG LOWES HAS NEVER SOLD BY THE TON AND OUR POLICY IS THAT THE PRICE IS 5.97 PER BAG OR PER TON!" so i called the lowes in the county nearby ( bout 35 minutes away) their response was.." uhh we only sell by the bag and its 5.97 per bag, no discount for bulk buy". whats up with this ? i burnt mostly corn last year but with the dramatic rise in corn prices this year i was hoping to cash in on killer pellet prices. well it looks like i wont be doing it through Lowes. i think a call to corporate is in my future! My local Southern States they will give me American Wood Fiber for 212.00 per ton. so i guess i could go that route!

that price is true if you use their lowes card (which I don't), otherwise is just a bit more. GREAT price though...!!!!

I called them up and they only have about half a pallet of green team.....

That is the price that is posted, no card required to get that price. See the sign infront of the store.

Always slap the extra 10% off coupon on stuff like this no matter how good a deal you are getting. If thats the price then you could get two tons @ about $315 with the 10% off, not bad at all. Pretty much the original price of one ton at the beginning of the season.

I still don't know what accounts for these low prices in CT, we usually get gouged with very high prices for everything. Although an Agway near me has Barefoots for 8 bucks and change a bag, so the deals are not everywhere.

WHen you guys buy by the ton from Lowes, HD, etc.... how the heck to you get them home? They don't offer delivery, do they?

Yep. $69 for delivery. Still not bad considering I got 4 tons for under $800 delivered and loaded into my garage.

is that each or 1-5?

Forklift into the back of my truck...... only a half ton Chevy But there is still plenty suspension...... Have em slide it as far Fwd as possiable.

69 for any amount....one or more tons. Im sure there's a limit at some point though.

if you find the Pellet that works for yea then i think thats a deal. Most of us have a mixture of this or that to burn.

I actually burned a bag of Freedom Fuel (against my wish's, dont' like the name, & the reviews in here) and found them to be not to bad a pellet. esp for the price.

The Lowes here (Wheeling WV) has Somersets for $4.83 per bag. They definitely used to give per ton discounts. I think this is the second year without the per ton discount.

Hi all...

Heading out to buy 3 tons of Green Team's from Lowes tomorrow in SE Mass. I was quoted 219 a ton in Abington, and have the 10% off coupon. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any other deals or local store with different prices! (Wish I made that initial 10% off for 176/ton!)

Bought a few bags to try.... seemed decent and price is great. But with the weather always so crazy it's hard to tell without the real cold setting in! Just hope I am not mistaken!! (been burning Barefoots for 2 years)

Thanks for all the info... this site is great!!

Stephanie

Lowes here has $3.79 a bag. Too bad I already have my supply for the year, or I'd check them out.

possible 3x discount today if your a vet!

Bought a ton of Somersets from Lowes in Plainville, CT for 196 even. Now they have Clean Energy for the same price. May grab them tommorow.
