I just received this thermostat how and the heck do i hook it up?

Not to be sarcastic, but doesn't it come with instructions?

I'm sure the remote & receiver need batteries, and the receiver should just have 2 wires or terminals that connect to the thermostat connector on the stove. I imagine that regular thermostat wire is used to connect them.

got the wires all ran and turned the stove on set to 9-9 setting turned the remote control on and it says the current temp in here is 82 while my regular thermostat says is 71

You are correct. Receiver has two wires w/quick disconnects that attack to stove. Do that, add batteries to both, set up the transmitter wall mount unit as per instructions and works like a champ. Unless the specific stove needs a jumper wire or something on the control board...

Unless the unit is defective it should take just a few minutes for it to read correct temp. Mine reads 3 deg. higher than my old round wall mount Honeywell mercury ones. The SkyTech is correct as I have used other thermometers as a comparison.

ive got it all hooked up but how can i confirm its actually working like its supposed to

i got the stovew set to 9-9 like the stove manual says

As far as going to a low setting or shutting down that depends on whether you are running the stove in Hi/Low mode or On/Off mode. I don't know your stove and what its t-stat capabilities are. My Lopi does not have Hi/Low, it only has On/Off.

The way mine works is like this (My stat is set for 68 with a swing temp of 2):

Right now in my house it's 74 so the stove is not on. If I push "on" (or "on Thermo" or "on Program") on the t-stat, the stove will go into startup mode, but after the startup mode is finished the stove is going to shut right off because it's already warmer than the set temp.

Now, if my stove was already running and it was cold outside, when the stat gets up to 70 the stove will go into shutdown. When the temp in house got down to 66 my stove would start right up and keep chugging until the temp at the stat got up to 70 again. Then it would shut down and wait for 66 again. And the cycle continues.

Look back up at post #3.... Call Mike H. tomorrow and talk to him....he'll get you straightened out.

I think your stove is just an on-off stove, but I could be wrong....Mike will know.

Im never home before 5

Thermostat cant turn the stove on or off stove always stays running once the temp is set and i think when it goes under the set temp the stove then will pump more pellets and more heat to warm back up to set temp

that's a ON/OFF stove like its "mother" then 25-PDV.

Rich, I may have asked you this before, can you adjust the 2 degree dead band to make it greater, therefore not cycle the Lopi as much? Have you had to replace the ignitor in the Lopi yet?
Thanks, Mike -

Mike you can adjust to a 3 deg swing. No my original ignitor is still working fine although it's got to be getting worn a bit.
