The TSC flyer for 11/3 thru 11/7 has the 22 Ton Splitter at $999 plus you get a $150 mail in rebate gift card. The ade does not mention the hydro oil is included like it normally does - so not sure if that's the catch or maybe it is just a given that it is included now. Happy splitting!

Great deal. Folks, you can't build a splitter like this for 999$ People seem to love this machine.

The deal is in their fly-er that comes with my local newspaper - I get one every couple weeks. Their web site usually does not have their special deals posted - plus I don't think you can buyer a splitter through their web site.

Deal says $999 (their normal 22 ton model is shown) and then there is a $150 mail in rebate (gift card) promo next to it. The Flyer is labeled their $1000 gift card deals. So there are some other rebate/gift card items along with the splitter. Different items have different rebate amounts.

Just called the closest TSC and will buy one next week, 350 dollars cheaper than the local store.
Thanks for the heads up!

Damn, if i wouldnt have bought the chainsaw, the wife MAY have let me buy this. What a deal on a decent splitter!

I thought 999 was good, sweet. Unfortuneatly I am on vacation this week.

Same here, as that is what I paid for mine. it's good to see some deals can still be had out there.

It's on sale for $999......but it's not a $150 rebate.........you get a $150 TSC gift card. I called today, going to get mine next week also. :)

Yes, it's only $849 if you were definitely planning to spend $150 on something else which is available at TSC. Otherwise it's $999.

OK I was confused, not sure if I need anything else for 150 dollars at this time but still a very good deal. How long is the gift card good for?

yeah but it is a in store item only, no shipping and there ain't no stores in Washington

Even with it being a gift card, that is one super deal!!! I doubt you will see anything else come close to that. I'd guess they could sell a bunch of them at that price.

Buy it on a tsc card when you get the gift certificate apply it towards the card! =849!

TSC says that if you have rebate sent in by 11-21 10 you can have the gift card before christmas. So dont plan on walking out with the card on the day you get the splitter, which is easy to do since they load the cards at the checkout.I guess if you need the splitter now is great time to buy! Then go shop for gifts next month.

I was thinking you could buy the oil (if not included) that day but not the case, this is still a heck of a deal, closest TSC 80 miles away but I still think I will pull the trigger on this, just too good to pass up.

Guys I am pretty new
To log splitters and was looking at the next step up. The 28 ton huskee but the 22 ton seems like a great deal. Would this splitter have enough power? I always seem to go overkill on my toys ha. The 28 is $1500 so there's quite a price difference. The main advantage the 28 has is that it comes with a Honda versus the Briggs on the 22

The 22 ton is way more than adequate for the homeowner. This is a heckuva good deal. Don't bother with the 28 ton, save your money. If you're worried about the BS engine, you can go buy a few with the $600 you saved.

I bought a 27-ton since I have a lot of elm . . . there was a decent deal on a 27-ton . . . and my wife said "Why don't you get the bigger splitter?"

That said . . . I would guess that even with the elm I could probably split most everything with a 22 ton splitter . . . and many, many folks here split a lot of wood and report good results with a 22-ton splitter.

Thanks guys that's all I needed to hear. Hope the local TSC has one in stock because I'm heading there as soon as I get out of work!

"...because I’m heading there as soon as I get out of work! "

Unless it's a helluva long way to your nearest TSC, I wouldn't rush. The sale doesn't start for two more days (per the OP)!

I'm keenly aware of that shortcoming. Dels is here and seems to be somewhat of a subsidiary. They sell the Huskee too.

I have split 10-15 cords on my 22 ton and have not found 1 piece it couldnt handle. Including a 24" diameter Elm which was as tough to split round as I have come across. Save your money and get the 22 ton.

I have split several cords with my 22-ton and it has as always split what I have put it up against. I'm not splitting more than 18" pieces though. The only exception has been the gnarly pieces of oak that has the wood grains running in about 10 different directions. It want's to squish it more than split it.

Ditto above - I have some very awkward pieces and the 22 ton has never had a problem. Mine (for $999) came with all the oil needed - they had even run it a few times and topped up the oil as needed
