Many people lost their homes and vehicles, luckily no one was killed.I feel guilty going to cut the tress for fire wood, but it is amazing seeing the neighbors pull together taking care of one another.

I see it as helping out. You are helping with the cleanup process!

This was only a f2,I can't imagine what the people in the midwest deal with.It was one thing helping during katrina, but when it's your everyday neighbors,it gives you a different viewpoint.

Kart-

Where are you located?

We had a F4 in July in NW Ohio. Hit about 2 miles north of me. Spent a good couple of days just helping cut up wood.

I'm in Vale NC.Just got the ok from about half a dozen different families to get all the wood we want. There are several elderly widows that heat with wood in the area.I'm going to give them most of my wood that has been sitting for the last year or two and do without this year.I can't cut green wood with a clean conscious to give the widows to burn. There are hundreds of acres of firewood to cut.

hey firestarter check out rossfordfire on facebook and see the pics of that. That was wicked came right past my house and touched down out by you

Kept my family warm for 25 years with green wood. As do most of the people in these Mtns and you cai't tell em any different.
