Looks like I'll be cutting down some Sugar Maple and Beech from 18 inches to 14.75 so we can burn north/south just in case these guys are correct. The weather for the east coast is supposed to be here by Thanksgiving.

Accuweather.com is the source.

Thanks for the heads up Zap, I've got a whole bunch of siding that needs to be sprayed and dry by then. Guess I know what I'll be doing from the time I get out of work on Friday until its done.

Solar last year I hoarded the sugar maple so this year we will burn it.

Jags I'm taking friday off so we can have the septic pumped plus the distribution box, crap! Nothing wrong with it we have it done every three years.

Zap, our forecast was much the same....until this morning when they sort of let the temperature forecast go a lot higher. For example, for opening day of rifle deer season here, Nov. 15 they had been forecasting freezing rain with temperature around 35 followed by temperature around 32 most of the rest of the week. Now they have canceled that due to lack of interest. Still cooler than this week but this week is going to be ridiculous for warmth. NOAA says we are in for 3 days in a row of temperature of 60 starting tomorrow. Terrible state of affairs....

Sav our temps for this week are in the low 50's then dropping down to about 34-35 at night. I wish it would stay like this for the rest of Nov.

Man I hope you are correct, Here in Pa. we start our deer season Monday after Thanksgiving and I want some cold weather. I will be at camp most of the 2 weeks after Thanksgiving and wood is the only heat. Down side is I also heat with wood at home and my wife will have to tend to the wood stove at home.

3 inches of snow last night, 3 more coming thursday, and high temps around 40, overnights of 18. but the pine is doin fine! 76 in the house and kids runnin around in just diapers! gotta love wood heat!

yep, that cold is sure coming for next week. I've taken several days off of burning, but it'll be 24-7 in just a few days time! Past few days have been up to low 70s here!!! that's crazy for this time of year.

Got a cord of white oak stack next to the wood furnace.......Does not matter what the weather is I am good to go! Oh better get the snow plow ready before to long.

Forgive me for not stopping I'm the shed first like I normally do I just posted this in the hearth room!
can someone please delete my thread ..

on another note, I am actually looking forward to the cold .... looks like it will be short lived as after Christmas its supposed to thaw!
