Just finshed the hot water heating loop on the Harman. Boy she can make hot water fast!

Congrats! One thing that really helped me keep the hot water was to raise my hwt off of the concrete floor on 4" of insulation. Of course that means replumbing...

?? I don't understand? So far I plenty of hot water this is just for domestic hot water not heating the house. I am considering a tempering valve for scalding protection though.
 
I have pretty much the same set-up, But with tempering valve and a pressure release valve at the highest point(cant remember the name for that)
 
I found that I was losing a lot of heat from my DHW tank through the floor. By raising it up on some insulation, the tank stays hot longer - I typically can raise the temp in my 40 gallon tank above 165*F. by replumbing, I just meant that you would have to adjust your lines if you raise the tank up off the floor a bit.
A mixing valve on the output is a must to prevent injury - 165* water at the tap would be very dangerous! I am using a Caleffi valve adjusted for 125* out at the tank top. No faucet in the house reads over 120*, and I have anti-scald faucets in both baths.

Thanks for critiquing my project any advice are very welcome. I bought a new 50 GAL. Electric DHW tank for this project, it's already well insulated. I have a tempering valve yet to install, which is next on the “to do list”. The highest water temp that I've achieved has been 135*F. still way too hot to be safe. Both bathrooms have anti scald fixtures on the tub/showers. My wife and I are empty nesters and she knows her away around hot water so we should be good till I plumb in the valve, which will be soon!
 
looks good. i was wondering how you had this looped? is there a pump or is this thermosyphon? i got a loop in my furnace but i dont have it hooked up yet. i need to layout how i want to plumb it because i got a solar hotwater panels for the summer too.
 
Coming out of the boiler, PRV. On the top of the loop, an air vent. Loop into top of water heater galvanized tees with PRV. Out of the bottom of water heater drain, ball valve, tee with boiler drain valve for draining and flushing, then dielectric union, ball valve. No pump need for me. (Less than 4’ apart from each other) A tempering valve a must! Also everything was plumbed up in ¾” copper except for galvanized tees for PRV at water heater top and drain tee at bottom. PRV at boiler is in a copper tee.
