I am getting the "5" blink status. I have cleaned the burn pot very well and wiped the ESP probe. I can feel heat inside burn pot but the pellets don't ignite, the pot just over flows. I didn't know if the ignitor will slowly go with the heat getting less as it goes or will it just completely stop heating all at once. Should I feel heat if the ignitor is bad? It is the original ignitor and that is almost five years old so I guess I have been lucky with it.

I am going to try to order a new one through Grainger, 3/8th diameter 300 or 350 watts, does this sound right, any ideas?

from my experience, the ignitor either is good or bad, not usually anything in between. Inadequate airflow due to blockage, etc could also cause a good ignitor to fail to ignite the pellets as well. Im not sure that the igniter is from Grainger, but your local harman dealer may have one that WILL work.

Make sure the air passage under the ignitor is clean. I usually pull the cover off and reach in with my finger and clean out the ash and sawdust.

unscrew the 2 wingnut at the burn pot and take the plate off. If you have a small vac accsesory , stick it in the opening and remove all the ash , that might help. The ash and dust act as an insulator and will not allow the pellets to ignite.
