Well the stoves are all doing great for the start to the winter season and then the roof started leaking.

Got a roofing outfit in there today to get it handled.

Reroffing a section of the house. OMG what a hastle.

Here are some pix

Roof penetrations and the issues that can arrise are the big reason I like direct vent.

The plan for this summer is to build a complete extention pitch that will cover over the entire area of the center section.

This modification will eliminate the shallow valley areas and potential leaks.

Ah yes, Edsel Murphy must be on the upper left coast side inland and upslope.

With a house there is always something.

Yup I know that fellow well.

Just did not need this mess right now. Best deal though is to have some troopers that can fix the issue right quick.

I am getting too old for projects that have to be done right now.

Sorry to hear about your roof, but it looks like you got quite a nice spot to live there Snowy.

I was thinking the same thing. My roof is in great shape, too bad my neighbors who are 30 feet from my house own a rooster, several goats, a bunch of loud ducks, chickens, and a few dogs.

Thanks guys.

The fellows that did the repair did a really great job.

They triple layered the underlament paper to make really sure that the area would stay dry, then they did the new comp over the area.

They finished up at about 3AM this morning.

As we were tearing into the job, I mentioned something about "an all nighter"

Hopefully it is good and water tight.

The wind is already blowing at around 30 MPH and a big storm is moving in.

Snow by the weekend "Maybe" lots of wind and rain at the very least.

Yessss the spot where the house is located is smack in the middle of 45 acres.

Lots of privacy.

250 yards to the county road and a good 1/4 mile in any direction to neighbors.

The trees have grown up a LOT in the past 20 years.

When we put the house in here back in 93 it was a lot different for sure.

Later
