hello ...I have some questions on the installation of my eko 40 I am hooking up boiler with no storage for now and dont really understand how to hook up my return from gas boiler to wood boiler...I know that hot from wood goes to return at gas .....but where do I take the water back to wood boiler ?????
any pics to view would be helpful .......I do have a schematic but its not very detailed. I am also useing 1 1/4 " reduced to 1" pecks from boiler to boiler will this work??
any info would help....

I'm also instaling a gasser right now, I would study the diagrams on "sticky's" titled Simplest pressure storage" just leave out the storage but try to leave valved stub outs so you can add storage later.
Also use pipe as big as you can, 1.25" is (personal opinion) a good size for a 40kw boiler
If you are new to this site use the search tool.
and don't rush your plumbing, Its real easy to forget things that need to be hooked up

If you won't have storage: tee supply from wood into supply (top) of oil/gas. Tee return to wood into return (bottom) of oil/gas. The tee should be placed between the oil/gas boiler and the system circ(s). The wood boiler will have it's own circ. When you have no call for heat the flow will be from top to bottom through oil/gas. When a zone calls it will take directly from wood supply.
Good Luck :)

hey first thanks for your input it is very much appreciated. I looked at sticks page it seems real easy I do wish I had room for some storage but its not happening now im real tight on space ..I am not going to rush this at all but its a little nerve racking I want everything perfect (or as good as I can make it without storage) I will post some pics as soon as I get it going step by step....and as far as the tees from wood into supply of gas I understand where you are going but how would that work would i need another pump??

First of all welcome to the forum. I would recommend spending some time with the sticky's and do some searches and most will be clears as mud! A few pointers: For safety sake, use copper or steel of good size at the boilers, heat spikes will occur at times and can melt or at-least deform your pex. There are many threads on pipe sizeing, be sure to check them, 1.25 at the boiler can prove to be a restriction. You may also need a blender valve to prevent low temp return water at the boiler.
