I think the paper clip repair was for systems whose heat load was low. this was to keep some air going through unit." a shoulder season problem" I time my burn and let the fire go out .

WOW, seems to me, the topic opened up a can of worms, Pandora's box and whatever else was steaming in the background!

No worries, high temps provide distillation, which in turn produces spirits or truth, whichever one one may be seeking....please carry on..

My hope is, we can keep it friendly and informative without monetary bias....but in all honesty it is confusing to decipher the cryptic comments and innuendos...but makes for coffee break material.

I, for one have learned a great deal in past few days and all of your input has been phenomenal..so CHEERS!!!!!

Thank you

Scott

I swear I did not touch Pandora, nor her box.

But if you are serious about Garn, do some searches here. There are a few of them among the members here.

the fire box....oven..etc

Garn looks impressive, there seem to be some Garn users in the forum close to my area.....if you are reading this in Northeastern PA, send a smoke signal(just panning..please PM.).

Thank you all for your help and input.

After considerable analysis, physical research and exchange of user data, I concluded the best system for me would be the Garn 1500 or the 2000.
Given ample time to design and finance, I should be approaching next winter with a new system in place.

Again thank you for all your assistance in clarifying the issues associated with each unit.

I will stay around for advice and project updates.

Best to all for this coming winter.
