Well its been a while since I had this stove installed (Regency F2400) (oct 2010) and the weather in Va has not been too cold about 40mid night- 35 early in am. I started up the stove anyway this Friday and it seems to be working fine .The stove was alittle hard to get going at a good heat at first because the manual states to start a small to med fire for the first 5 burns .The stove ran fine between 400-550 at stovetop temps but I had to "babysit" it or it would drop fast . The coals and stove stayed hot all day after and started right up sat evening easy but I still have to keep adjusting the air flow for the smaller fire to keep it from going below 400 .I am glad I got the med size 2400 Regency instead of the 1100 .The house is comfortable and not overheating so far but I am running a smaller fire LOL..I just have to get the slide air adjuster controll figured out,I marked it off which is making it easier to figure out were the air draw is best for heat range wanted.Well so far so good, Thanks to all the help I got on this site when I was doing the stove shopping. BTW I like the way the flames seem to wave above the wood in the tubes making it look like the wood is not burning at all. My glass is clear in the center but around the edges it is getting brownish. Hopefully itll clear up after the break in period with a longer hotter burn... Mario in Va...Happy Thanksgiving To All...

I am just learning the F2400 as well. I am done with the break in period. Still working on getting a good burn with out having the air slider all the way out. I push it in half way and it seems to kill the fire to much. I seem to have better luck about 3/4 out. Still probably loading to much wood also. I have to get over that "I want to see flames and burning logs" feeling and let the coal bed do it's job.
