Just wondering if the heat range button just controls the bottom auger and if the low fuel feed button controls just the top auger ?

Bottom Auger runs steady and constant...I think at 1 RPM.
Only the top auger is varied according to heat level selected.
Low Fuel Feed button adjusts only for Heat Level 1 and 2... and 3 through 9 are NOT adjustable by LFF Button (Top Auger as stated above)
