We just installed a new Jotul Oslo at my in-laws house. It is the special edition without the Jotul arches on the door. It is a great looking stove IMO, and a heavy sucker. He did about 5 break in fires outside prior to the install. We pulled the old stove out and installed the Jotul in less than 30 minutes. I think it's going to work great for him.

sweet! that is the first one of those i have seen..... i think i still prefer the arches though. but to each there own.

Now that is how a glass should look. No junk in the way of the view.

Sweet!

Is that a real version or do somebody modify the door?

Its real. They are offering a limited number of those. Gauging the market for that look I think. We will know next year if it becomes a permanent offering.

To be honest, I've come to love (and expect) those Gothic arches. :red: Not that that's a bad looking stove by any means.

I actually prefer the "classic" Jotul door. He liked the clear door. It was also a few bucks less, but that was not a factor. The only difference is the door.

How hard was/is it to get one of those? Special order?

Interesting to see . . . neat option . . . I too prefer the arches though . . . for some reason they just seem to dress up the stove a bit without obscuring the view of the fire . . . too much.

+1 nice!

Are there any other options for the doors on an oslo?
