OK. Time for my annual thread. I will start it off with the same one I always do.

"You know you are a real wood burner if at a wine tasting you refer to the Cabernet as 'Oakie with just a hint of creosote.'"

Have fun gang.

If you wear your Carhartts to town. That way you can just head out to cut wood when you get home without changing clothes.

You check on the stove(s) and add a couple of splits in the morning before you pee.

... if, shortly after you walk into the locker room at the health club, you hear someone say, "Do you smell something burning?"...

when you go to put a split on and you remember the round it came off of!

When you have scars on your arms.

When you throw your dirty underwear(blow out) in the wood stove!

When you have no hair on your hands from October to May.

If your wifes breath smells like cordwood...

Gross... only a newbie would say something like that. ;-)

(Welcome to the forum)

You think a good time is a six pack, a maul and a truck load of rounds.............. and I don't even drink!

You test drive a Porsche 911 and toss the keys back to the salesman and shake your head saying "caint get enough scrounge wood in it"

If you are reading this post instead of what "normal" people do on Friday night. :) And don't ask me what "normal" people do, I don't know....I'm not normal. :snake: To prove that, I look forward to winter

You consider gathering firewood one of your hobbies.

You see a downed or standing dead tree when driving with the wife and you point then grunt like Tim Allen "RRR, I'll cut it and burn it, RRR".

When at 2am on a relite you fall asleep on a round in front of the stove and dream that your wife ,,,,, I mean stove, is screaming , "Give it to me baby!"
MayB eye meant wife !??? Ohhhh ,,, you guys meant fire WOOD burner !

When you work overtime all week & all you can think of is getting some time off to cut a couple loads of wood.

When your idea of a "hot box" is a...well, just insert your desired stove's name here.

You take a weeks vacation in the fall and spend it cutting, splitting, and stacking wood.

...if you then ask what they are doing with the oak barrel the cabernet was aged in so you can burn it!

If you're up reading posts on this site at odd hours...

You meet a new lady and think she is "hot" because she has a bunch of downed trees on her property.

You still look for scrounge wood while out of town or on vacation!

That's funny.

Imagine trying to pack some nice, seasoned wood you found in your suitcase to try to get it home on the airplane.
