I would like to connect a single wall tee to a masonry adapter. I will then connect the adapter to double wall pipe then to my stove (tight clearance to drywall ceiling 14")

It appears the nominal pipe diameter of the masonry adapter (see link below) is 6”. The same as my tee pipe I want to connect to. (male to male connection).
I am thinking of ordering this and crimping one pipe to make the connection inside my wall thimble.

Bad idea, good idea, alternatives?

what i need to connect to after trimming some of this off:

what I propose to connect this to:

I had a ceramic thimble that was deteriorating due to outdoor weather. I had a sheet metal shop roll up a 16 ga. SS cylinder where the edges would pass over each other by a couple of inches and would be able to slide into the thimble and then expand to a snug fit. Did the same on the outdoor, weathered, portion after coating with refractory cement. This was for an Oil fired furnace.

The only way to do a male-to-male connection is to introduce a short female and make it a threesome. Well... that or a sex change on one of the males.

The male is already crimped. That's how a male end can go into a female (uncrimped) end. Did you crimp it more to fit into the other crimped male end?

I should have known this thread title would get some interesting responses. I live in Asheville, NC and there are lots of male to male connections here.

Thanks for the heads up.I meant I crimped a female end so it could go into a female end.
