Burned 1 1/2 tons already (Dec 10th). Started out this season with 4 1/2 tons of Hamer's, hope I make it through.

Late October as well, but I have a wife and kid home all day, and use no other heat in the house. 72 down stairs, 68 Upstairs, 24-7. Harman Accentra insert, Hamer Pellets

Well that doesn't sound too bad, you're heating two floors, I'm only heating a one story ranch and when no-ones home during the day I turn the stove down low. How many do you have left?

I was complaining about hitting bag 40 already. The price we pay to keep the family warm. Plus we get to go buy more! :)

Started here Oct 1st,burning 24/7,nothing above medium yet on dial, no wall therm, (next one will have) just loaded Bag # 50 in the hopper.Friend bought one of those Heat Light Comfort furnaces this year, been running it also since Oct 1st.has used $18/month with a meter on it, and 15 bags of pellets, hmmm, i was sceptical of those things, may have to reconsider after seeing the numbers.

We just had our Electricity De-regulated and had a 30% increase in Jan 2010, that is what sealed the deal on the insert. I would be paying $550/month in the cold months. Now I am paying <100 and I only spent $860 on 4.5 tons, so i should make out ok, If 4.5 tones makes it.

Burned thru 43 bags so far, started on Nov 1st(39 days), I may need another ton at this rate, but man do I enjoy the Sauna....LOL

Just hit 50 bags today; started burning in October. Probably should have started out running the furnace, but that's no fun. Still have 3 1/2 tons left. It's been toasty warm. Really happy with my Turmans. I did a full cleaning, plus the leafblower trick, but probably really didn't need to. Not much ash.

a ton and a half here also, but we keep the two floor warm. bought 7 tons. usually burn 5 tons. wife has medical issues and no tolerance for cold.

I've gone thru 45 bags so far. Burning thru them a lot quicker with this cold snap. I have been burning this years batch of NEWP and have been pleasantly surprised. The heat output is good and the ash is not too bad. Tried 3bags of Stove Chow last week, found the heat on those comparable, although they were a lot dustier.

Started Oct 15 this year. Bag #48 in this morning. My last bag of anything though. Going pellet shopping again today or we'll have to use oil tonight. Time to make a decision though on what to buy for the season. Enough expermimentation (unless I find Cubex today :) )There is a small coating of white stuff on the ground here overnight. I need to get them delivered and stacked before any significant white stuff falls.

running 24/7 since oct 18... 34 bags...on lowest setting except in the morning to heat 'er up...we've had some warm spells though, but very little electricity and the recent bill shows it...just over 100 bucks. Oh yeah ,those are 33 pound bags -Truburn Downeys Lumber

1 ton here in central Illinois. Wouldn't have burned that much but we have had a 2 week cold snap.

pete324rocket, i tried 3 or 4 bags of them, found them terrible dirty, and @ 5.59/bag(33lb) was no wheres near as good a deal as the Crabbe Lumber pellets $4.75/bag at the plant(40lb bag)our hydro also has not topped $84/month

Wow, after seeing every ones posts I had to check to see how many bags I have burned and was quite shocked that i have burned through 55 bags already.

I know it has been pretty cold the last few weeks but I didn't realize how much I had burned!

I think for most of us, we all land between a Bag/Day and 1.5Bag/day on average.Don,t seem to matter the stove Brand or size.

62 bags here. Forya I think you might need 1 more ton...

I have burned 70 bags so far that is with two stoves in a house built in 1880's. I only bought 5 tons for this year keeps this cold I think it might be time to add some corn to the mix.

I'm only down about 30 bags right now. Was only going through about half a bag a day for the first month of use.

Just put bag #39 in the hopper today after giving the stove a cleaning.

Just put bag 51 of Okies in the stove. been downright cold here the last week. It was 0 here on Friday morning, coldest I can remember for this early in the winter.
