So after unloading 2 ton of pellets yesterday my lower auger motor decided to take a crap! With 20 degree nights here in Pa u can say I'm not pleased. Im so ready to rip this thing out and buy something worth while....problem after problem. Anyone know where I can pick one up fast at a reasonable price??? Sorry for being so upfront...its been a long weekend and Have to work in the AM. BLAH

Any help would be GREAT!

Don`t you have central heating system? I wouldn`t want to heavily depend on a little bottom feeder pellet stove (space heater)and maybe not even a top end model.
However, I do keep a spare auger motor on hand since it`s often the first thing to go and usually a matter of time before one starts acting up anyway.
You can rip it out but there`s still no guarantee your next unit will be any more dependable?
It might be better if you calm down , have a couple beers and just order a new auger motor and be done with it.
Update: Oh! I see you are going to do that. Good move and good luck to you.

There is an outfit in New Cumberland, Pa. called Old Fashioned Heat that told me they service Englander Stoves. Don't know if they carry the parts in stock.

I would order one direct from Englander..they ship very quickly. Fix 'er up, get your house toasty warm, call it good

Are you SURE it's the auger motor, and not the lid switch, or something else? Did you disconnect the power leads from the motor, and make a test lead to get power direct from a wall socket to the motor?
