Sam's been home for 3 days now. It didn't take him long to find the best spot in the house.

New pup, 12 weeks old. We picked him up at a mobile adoption unit on Friday. He's a keeper! Here's another pic.

Nice picture and good job on the adoption. We adopted a cat a few years ago and she has been one of the best pets we have ever had. Enjoy Sam.

What a cutie. I'm guessing he's part spaniel of some sort. We had a 1/2 springer, 1/2 beagle when I was growing up that was a great dog.

I don't think we'll ever really know. The adoption papers said Heeler (aka Aus Cattle Dog) and the gentleman at the mobile adoption unit thought he was part pointer/part lab. He doesn't look like a Heeler to me although he sure is good at nippin' at my heels and he tried herding the kids when the walked in the door when coming home from school today. I see a little dalmation and lab in him... but it doesn't really matter, he's just a good puppy. What we do know is that he was rescued from a kill center in Tennessee and was brought up north. We were going to wait until after the holidays to get a pup... but Sam spoke to us on Friday and asked us to take him home.

...Hope that's not a puppy present on your nice white shirt!
We love having a dog. Ours is a Golden Retreiver, who thinks my wife is his mother.

Classic sad "take me home" puppy eyes no wonder you couldn't resist!

No, that is just the end of his tug toy on a white towel. He just turned one year old ,so we are told, and he has hasen't messed in the house at all in the week we have had him. Someone trained him very well.

Yeah, I think he's going to be a good size dog and his personality will match his size. Quite a rambunctious pup so far! I can't leave any wood in the small rack on the hearth. He thinks that the splits are his chew toys and bits of bark are doggy treats.
