pellet fuels institute? used to have one available but I can't seem to find it??? any one know of a good one to use?

Electric would have to be $0.05/KW to equal $200/ton of wood pellets. Thats funny! :)

yeah, that is what I like about that spreadsheet. I just picked up pellets for 189 a ton. At that price they blow away anything else. It really is a barameter of what the other fuels are subjected to before sale.
 
That electric is resistance heaters, I think which are only 100% efficient, while a heat pump can be 300% efficient depending on the outside temp unless you have geothermal. Also most calculators don't take into account the distribution system under your house. This one does and REALLY shows you how important the distribution system is!

with all of these calcs, pellets are blowing away what I could be paying for oil or propane....by 1/2 for oil and more so for propane
