Looking for some tips on how to insert the secondary air tubs roll pins for an Avalon Olympic. My stove was purchased used and have never been installed. I recently purchase the parts to install but have found that they are very difficult to insert. I am equally interested in how the removal goes in the event of cleaning.

Thanks

Happy Holidays!!!

I got one used too. The round pins were missing on two front the tubes – the tubes would wiggle and the holes would face down. I got round pins some from the hardware store and used my grinder to clean a little off the pins so it could start, then hit with a hammer.

I love the stove.

Robert

Edit - The tubes work one way.

do you have the roll pin tool? w/o it it is tough
Tool? The manual provides not indication one is available. Contacted local dealer not aware either.

the full kit comes with great instructions….

The part # 98900357 only indicates pins no kit or instruction.

Can you provide information?

there is a mini "hammer shapped tool" with an indentation to hold the pin in place while tapping on the other end of the tool with a hammer, it is more difficult without the tool, but can be accomplished by holding the pin w/a needle nose pliers & tapping. If you want to purchase the tool, ask your local dealer for part number 250-02115, roll pin tool.
Happy Burning!!
