found a 2 year old englander 30 for 300 dollars on craigslist. drove 4 hrs round trip but well worth it. no firebrick but thats ok. local store stocks plenty of those. just put a fresh coat of paint on her. needs new fiber boards. sucks there 60 a board. kinda steep for a small ceramic board. but anyway going to put her in place tomorrow and bit the bullet and buy those boards. this is my 3rd englander stove. love the company. love the stove.

Looks good. When you painted it do you spray it or brush it on? I never painted one but may need to know in the future.

Does it have back up electric heat? I see a cord in the picture coming out of the back. ha ha

Enjoy it!!

Here's yer shirt. Enjoy that big boy.

Looks good. So total with bricks and fiber board, probably around $500? Half the price of new. Sweet deal.

Good Job nothing like fixing up things. Lets see some pictures when finished and installed. Happy heating with it. :)

I've got to have one of those shirts. Did you photo shop that or can I get that somewhere?

It is just an image I whipped up a few years ago one Sunday afternoon when I had heard all of the bad mouthing about the 30 not having all of the foo-foo that other brands have that I could stand.

Actually my wife inspired it. She said "I love the looks of the stove and any of them just burn stuff. Who needs all of that other BS?".

Was the tshirt wife approved? Those tshirt stoves with gold plated doors and legs have quite a bit of bling to them. I like the simpler painted door look myself.

She who loves her gold wouldn't mind a gold door and legs I don't think. But the dark brown stove body with the black door and legs just looks right.
