Little man, did you grow on a tree?

If she's a woman AND she's a teacher, that's the perfect storm of wisdom. Sometimes it gets a little tedious-the knowing everything, so cut her some slack. When you see her, you just need to treat her just like Alice Cooper gets treated in the video.

Thanks, Kath! I've seen that before but it cracks me up every time. What a kid, eh?

Yeah, I never get tired of that one. "I'm going to get my drink on."

i am just saying what her brother said to me lol

When my father's place burned to the ground from a chimney fire, the insurance was all over him about his heat bill. He had electric heat listed as the primary source and claimed to only supplement with wood. They scrutinized his electric bills, trying to assert that it didn't represent more than 50% of what it *should* cost to heat a house his size. In Winter, my dad would close off the top two floors and only heat the basement which skewed the size of the electric bill to the number of square feet.

its just funny with these 60 yr olds

Some day you'll be 60......... :)

Hopefully not upside down in a mortgage and forced to rent to, well, to a polite and cooperative young gentleman who likes to play with fire :)

i never brought a house renting is cheaper then buying a house but now the housing market is cheaper for people like me by waiting it out i have already backed out 3 deals some of them won't go down on price and got problems...i wished i was lucky as my dad buying a 5 yr old house for less then 1/2 of what the previous owner paid for and got foreclosed on....so now its the buyers market i am so glad i did not buy a 80 yr old house 6 yrs ago for 120,000 i would be so damn sick to find out my house is worth less then 1/2 right now...

Well........... After 40 yrs. of home ownership we have a fair amount of $$ equity in our home even in this 'down' economy. If you rent for 40 yrs. how much will your rent receipts be worth? :)

nothing! lol and its cheaper when my g/f pays 1/2 of the rent that's why i say renting is cheaper then buying a house.....

After 10 years of home ownership, 2 refi's and an equity loan, my equity in my house is worth almost as much as my rent receipts would be if I were renting, LOL. However, the income tax deductions have been worth a lot more. And not having to deal w/ landlords, priceless.

Yes, the refi's, etc. are of our own doing, but they were what we had to do to do what we needed to do. Explains everything and nothing.

Peace,
