So I bought some pipe to put a vertical rise on, I bought 4", ( thought mine was 4") evidentally my pipe is a 3" ( probably 85% of my burning problems right)
anyway, can I attach the 4" to the 3" if I tape and or clam the joint or is that not recommended. Also should I put a clean out T on it or can I just 90 it up?

I'm not partial to ANY angles in a flue pipe.............and get the right size, bub! Don't "Mickey Mouse" it.

i recommend the "T". might even be able to find yourself a 3" to 4" "T". wouldn't that just be the icing on the cake. if you decide against the "T" get an increaser for 3" to 4".

I got 20' of 3" SS flexpipe out from my Whitfield and have ZERO problem's, 4" just sends more heat up the chimney to say bye bye!!

4" pipe is better than 3" you'll get better airflow and any buildup you get in the pipe has more area to be in so less chance of restricting airflow up the pipe. Use a 3 to 4 adapter it works.

They do make a 3" to 4" tee. That's all you need. 4" is a good move.
