Replacing AE Baffle

I shut the stove down tonight for a good cleaning, and as I was cleaning the baffle, I found a 6" crack on the back in the groove of the diamond. The little piece at the top that bridges from the baffle to the front of the hood where the exhaust goes through was also cracked through. Called dealer and am getting one Saturday under warranty to replace it. Lasted 2 years.
 
Yea I am hoping the new one is thicker, the diamond indention on the back does cause a weak spot.
 
I am on baffle #3, old style, just have to pick it up at the dealer. All of them cracked through the diamond and into the pellet drop hole.
I tried to convince the dealer about a N/C burn pot up grade and supposedly, but I doubt it, he call Quad and Quad said no to warrantying the burn pot, only 3 years on the burn pot for warranty. I will call Quad my self and see how I do but at $92 it comes with a igniter and gasket so it isn't too bad as far as cost for what you get.
 
The new baffle system that Quadra Fire is using is not having issues from the ones that I have installed into customers homes.

I had 3 crack last year. Now my fourth just cracked. All have been the new updated baffle. Starting to pile a good cast iron scrap heap. This stove is really going to pay me back!
 
thats odd that some break very often.
and some not at all (mine).
probly shouldn't have said that.
