you shouldn't need to attach to the wood floor, at least in my case neither of my 2 stoves are attached, its weight and its piping will sort of set it in place.

So does the purge cycle do much to keep the stove clean, that is the main reason for me choosing this stove. Is there another stove that's easy to clean that I might be overlooking.

the purge cycle seemed to work MUCH better for me when running in on/off cycles at the beginning of the season, it works ok now that i keep the unit running continuously for 3 or 4 days but the burn pot will have (sometimes) a clinker and you may need to scrape the burn pot just a little.

To me the purge cycle helps a lot, but it is not as "perfect" as having one of those units that have the stir in the pot that can break whatever residues and keep running the units for a much longer period of time. I'm sure i can run my unit for a whole week without cleaning but the glass will eventually get really dirty, which i don't like.

Hope that member save$ can tell his experience with his NPS40.

Ok sounds like this'll be the one I get. I called a place online to get a price. I got quoted $2301 shipped. I haven't called dynamite yet still waiting for income tax, hopefully he can do a little better.

yeah, got mine cheaper with dynamitebuys.

do your math and check other brands at dealers locations so you see for yourself the pros/cons.
Good luck with your decision and let us know how it goes.

You will need 2 different sets of vent pipes. 1st is your OAK, 2nd is your flue/exhaust
