To those who heat exclusively with wood, what is the temp of your house in the morning, assuming a roughly -5C (23F) night? I'm at around 18C (64F) come morning, last load at around 10 P.M. Just curious what others find.

We are the same. 18C is the usual temp we wake up to and our last load is usually around 10pm also.

1 degree out this morning 64 upstairs in the hallway after 9.5 hour burn.

0F with a wind factor of -11F. Last load at 10PM. Woke up this morning with the bedrooms at 64 (they were 66 when I went to bed) and the rest of the house was 67F. If you sit next to the windows you can feel it.

7 degrees at 7am. Wind chill -2. Inside 68, last night, temps topped off at 77. Last load 9:15pm. Enough coals to re-start. Heating oil used=0. Gotta love it!! ;-)

Last night was again colder than normal for Southern Maryland. I went to bed with the temp at 15, at midnight and woke up with it at 18 at 0700 hrs. The upstairs where i had been burning my small Jotul was about 70 and it only had a small bed of coals remaining. The downstairs where i have my summit, which was almost out because my last load was about 2200 hrs was about 70 degrees. If i just burn my summit, it is about 68 or so in the morning during normal 25-30 overnight temps.

5 degrees outside, 83 degrees inside. Really toasty. My neighbor came over to drop off something and she was amazed how warm it was. She is talking to her husband about getting a wood stove. I recommended the Englander NC30

Yo why don't you recommend to her your set up since she was really commenting on how well it works not the Englander.
