My pellet stove has been installed and running for so long I really don't recall how long ? [old age ] I have looked after the stove from day one, cleaning maintance..etc.
I have read here many times about the leaf blower cleaning and wanted to try it, local Home depot had a Toro super blower-vac for $42.
Saturday morning after the power was out and stove was cold I made an adapter and had it all set and ready to turn on [ was looking forward to this ] I wanted to see the hugh cloud of black soot[dust] blowing across the yard :) well I turned it on and I was dissapointed as there was no black cloud at all only a small cloud of brownish dust for about 30 or 40 seconds.
I will say that it does work as good...stove is warm, clean and happy :)

That's not a bad thing, seems that your vent wasn't terribly dirty. Did you brush the vent out before using the leaf blower? It helps to loosen up the soot/ash before you connect the leaf blower.

No I didn't run the brush through it but I did check it after and it was clean, Just to excited to see the results :) I try to keep my stove as clean as possible as I think it really pays off in the end. My stove is an old Whitfield [ 1996 ? ] The only thing I have done is replace the board with a new digital one and new fire bricks about 6 or 7 years ago.
