I have an Englander 25-pdvc, and yesterday decided to do a full clean as i wasn't getting quite the heat output i expected. That included replacing the gaskets, and cleaning out both blowers as well as vaccuming the vent pipe. I also was burning a pellet from Home Depot called Stove Chow, and quite frankly it is garbage compared to Lignetics. So when i started the clean, i noticed about 1/4" of ash inside the vent pipe, so i am glad i did this. However, when i put it all back together and started it up, i now have a very subtle smoke leak coming from either the Appliance adapter on the pipe or the exhaust blower. It's really hard to say; my guess is the appliance adapter but i can't be certain. The leak only is present when for the first 15 seconds on startup and then goes away.
Could there be smoke coming from the Exhaust blower, as if it isn't tight enough? My thought is no and it probably is somewhere on the appliance adapter. But figured i'd check with the experts first.
PS. i am out of the StoveChow, and now back to Ligentics (Thank Goodness)
