I wouldn't touch a VC.

It is odd that all(?) of the modern cat stoves look like something that just came out of the 70s. Shag carpet and all. Just very abnormal looking stoves.

I think Woodstock and VC owners are going to have a bone to pick with you. :)

That said, I think that brush paints non-cats just as well as it does cats. With the exception of Woodstock and the Englander 17, American stove design does seem to be stuck in the 70s/80s (Though some of the stoves from the 70s, like the VCs, had classic good looks.). Hearthstone doesn't count, because they're European.

I'd love to see the major American manufacturers (yes, I'm looking at you, Blaze King and Englander) get their designs out of the 70s/80s, and either do something modern, or go retro like the classic parlor stoves. But that's a matter of taste, and taste isn't right or wrong.

But it does cost a ton of money to design and certify a stove, and I'm not sure how much extra I'd pay for good looks. And, if forced to choose between form or function, I'll go for function.
