First cutting of the new year!

Lots going on there with just two tanks of fuel. Nice!
 
I was able to move pretty good. Most were leaning towards the outside so they were quick easy cuts. This year I'm going to try to keep dropping trees for a bit, maybe till i get about an acre or so down, then I'm gonna trim up, pull out the logs and clean up the brush. I figure if I can get a good bit down now when the sap is low and leaves are off, might save me some work later on. I'm really going to try and plan my cutting this year for most practicality.
 
Lots of work there but it can be pleasant work, especially this time of the year.
 
that's for sure. It is mostly all locust and Black walnut. I certainly can't complain. :)
