Good to hear that you are warm, safe and back at home Dennis. Glad you made it ok... on the journey home :).

Welcome home and good luck on your recovery Dennis.

Random thoughts . . .

Welcome back Dennis . . . it's good to have you home.

Thinking with this new bionic knee Backwoods will be the new Six Million Dollar Man . . . able to push over trees without needing a saw, snapping wood in half with his bare hands in stead of bucking it and then running back to the house with a cart full of wood being towed behind him.

HehHeh . . . picturing Dennis all loopy on the meds brought a smile to my face . . . could just picture him so loopy that he might even consider splitting horizontally as a perfectly normal thing to do. ;) :)

Glad your surgery went well. Looking forward to lots of yrs of good woodburning advice-take care.

So glad you're back Savage. Glad things went well. We wish you well with your rehab. God bless, my friend.

I'm glad you're back & hope that hip heals up great, Randy

Welcome Home Dennis: Take things slow and easy, winter will be losing it's grip soon, by then you'll be outside walking in the fresh air. I enjoy reading your postings, I'm on this site a lot. Take care, Jim

Hey, many thanks to all. And yes, it still is great being home and warm too!

Todd, no rehab in stock. Doc did give me the okay for riding the recumbent bike on the trainer in the living room but he prefers I wait a couple of weeks.

Have quite a bit of swelling. I think I spent too much time being up on Friday. It was just so good to be able to be out of the bed that I over done things a bit and paid the price. Still painful and this is the first day I've not had improvement but I have laid down a lot today. Naturally I can't get anything accomplished that way but have to live with it.

I'll also be making a new thread that I really do feel needs posting.

Rusty, we thought of that. She could have hooked the trailer on and brought a heavy sleeping bag and lots of covers and I'd been laying on the trailer. lol Can't you just picture that? lol

On the other hand my neighbor could have brought his tractor with front end loader and I could have laid in the bucket.... A nasty way to travel.
