Here are the photos of the newest addition. This baby is amazing. The new floor vents are working like a charm. EcoFan is spinning like crazy. The upstairs of the house is about 79 F. Wood burns all night and still 3/4 full when I got up. This is the craziest great stove I could ever imagine. I LOVE THIS STOVE!

Congrats on the new stove. I like your solution for extending your hearth.

not as ugly of a stove as I remember most BK units being... looks good!

I can't find the picture you posted of the vents you installed above the stove but I have a question: Did you check with codes to see if you needed (I think they are called) "fire stop" vents?

Looks great! How many sq ft are you heating? Is that the King or Princess?

dont you use the fans that came with unit ? Why use eco fan ??

Nice....looking at possilby getting the fan also. Also interested in the floor vents. More info please.

EDIT to correct the terminology: Are those vents 'fire dampers'?

And all the nay-sayers say these are ugly. :shut: I think it looks pretty good. It looks even better when you don't receive fuel bills!

I recently went 16 hours between loading with outside temps around +10 °F , in an 1870 farmhouse, not well insulated. Inside temp was 63 at reload. I was delighted. Still am. No, really! :)

I could go on, but you get the picture.

Hey now, I say they are ugly but I am NOT a nay-sayer. Big difference. The BK is superior in function to anything else on the market.

Perfect timing. It's getting cold again.
Yep they will crank out the heat.
Nice install.
Ugly stove, who said that?, & with the glass door & angel flames headed for the cat, I think it's beautiful.
Learning to burn cooler is a bit of a trick, mainly very dry wood is key & I get less smokey glass.

Great install & pictures

ENJOY, but you already are :)

Does this fan put out much air? I went to their website and a couple of the reviews said they didn't put out much air.

They dont put out much, but they keep the air moving. I am finding that it is not so much the speed or volume, but just the movement. Plus it is really cool technology. It makes electricity from the heat generated by the stove. I love it, and it looks nice...

Nice set up! I'm interested in the floor vents you installed. Could you provide the brand name and model number? It may be what I need to get some heat moving to the the second floor. Thank You Jim

Looking good - not a bad looking stove IMO - a more functional look, but fine. What are your outside temps like when you are getting the house that warm? I've always been amazed by the numbers folks get with these stoves, although someone did post a photo of how much wood can fit in a BKK - that explained a lot! Cheers!

We just got them at HOME DEPOT. We built ducting to completely surround them so there is no path to the floor joists. For 30 years we could never get the heat from the basement upstairs, now the whole house gets the heat.
