Ok, getting my taxes back next week, hopefully I can convince the wife that we need a new stove at a reasonable price. At the moment HD has these stoves reasonable priced. Hopefully they will have these left next week. Been trying to research both of these and still don't know. I could go two ways, get the bigger rated one ( 25 pdv) to put in place of my current one and hope it will produce better. The other option is to get the smaller and cheaper one ( pdvc) and somehow arrange my room so that I have 2 pellet stoves for the real cold nights. But before I decide on those options, are these stoves good? I would also need a 3" vent kit so that will add on the price?
What about the Efficiency ratings..both pf these are 78%, while the crap I have now is 86% What does these numbers actually mean.

they are good stoves for the money if you are handy, there is no service the tech. hotline is the best
i have the 25 pdv runs 24-7 havnt had a prob untill yesterday the igniter went but i just light the pellets w a
propaine torch

or maybe you want to consider the multi fuel that they make and buy online half price (refurbished).

I have the 25 PDVC and my neighbor has the larger one. Both run fine and do the job well but given a second chance at it I`d definitely go for the newer designed multi fuel myself.

Wish I could but that is not a "reasonable price".. it would be about $1500 more...

Personally I would slide the kozi aside and get the multifueler or the 25 PAH myself. More BTU's and larger hoppers. You could always look and work on hooking the kozi up later on if you really need 2 stoves. PM returned.

My local lowes had a 25 PAH for $1074 out the door. Use a 10% coupon to save even more!

I guess HD just made my decision for me. the PDV just jumped up $1000 more.. Was $974 now shows $1949

Please keep us posted on what you decide. Remember pict's or it didn't happen. ;-)

Just want to hear your family is roasting instead of freezing! :)

just ordered the pdvc ( $647 ) Will have to use it as a second I believe
