my brother went to go get a few tons of pellets today at home depot here in NY and they told him they were out of pellets, and their supplier was out of pellets and
they thought it was *not* likely they would get any in until next season?!?

anyone else being told this at home depot? he didnt try lowes, and he didnt ask who their supplier is, but he did ask them to check other stores. they did and said nope all stores are out of them.

what a bummer, im glad i got mine when i did. i've been telling him to go for weeks too.

Home Depot in Johnson City NY was down to less than 3 tons of Prestologs a week ago...employee said he was unsure if they'd get any more. Lowes in Binghamton however had over 20 tons with several kinds available.

This is not a commercial post as i am not here "to pump or pimp" my products.

However, an employee from Home Depot in Wilton NY stopped by to pick up some pellets. He told me they we out. I didn't ask him if they would be getting more in.

How much you getting for fuel and what brands do you carry? I will post something in the fuel report section for you. If you want you can PM me the info! Or I can PM you on how to post the info. You would be doing some a big favor as this is the skimpy season and many seem to rely on the box stores for fuel. Having you as back up source is good!

I just bought a ton of Stove Chow tonight at the depot on Lehigh street in Allentown, PA. They told me they only had 5 tons left and not getting any more this year. They are already getting out the patio furniture. $198/ton. So far it is burning better than my Hamers.

The Lowes on 8th Ave. in Bethlehem had a trailer load last weekend of AWF and a few pallets of Greenway....neither of which I had ever seen before....the day before yesterday they were down to two tons outside and about a half ton inside....they have been flying through pellets the past few weeks....I was hoping to see some SIH pellets....I'll have to swing by this week and see if they received another shipment.....

All HD's in NJ are out of pellets. No more are being ordered. Lowes seems to keep ordering.

Okay, okay you are right. Helping other members is what it is all about.
I have posted some information under the https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/fuels

Just because I don't like or agree on how Mr.Craig Issod,

“Founder Hearth.com - Most widely read Hearth Publication in the Universeâ€

administers some aspects of his web site. I must admit for the most part it is a good, helpful, informative, and useful tool for many people.

I think sometimes people let success, power, and control get the best on them.

PS. This will probably get me booted.

Well he is the boss around here. His rules so we must follow. Sure hope you don't get bounced. But you might get scolded. We can do no good for others if we get canned! Thanks for posting your info in the fuel reports, others might just need some fuel to get through the season.

The Home Depot had pellets in North Syracuse "last week" when I was there and Lowes had them in North Syracuse and Oswego last I knew. The brands vary from what I hear.

I just received an insider tip that HD has 1300 tons of MWP pellets going to stores as far as Maryland. TSC has also been loading up on MWP as well. Keep your eye out for them.

Oh crap, may need to go to a hearth shop with their over priced marked up pellets. Onos!

Lockport, NY Home Depot store is running short on them now as well, but the Tractor Supply has plenty of their own brand which I heard are pretty decent.
