Sale price for premium $3.49 per bag individual or pallet.

Scored another 25 bags while shopping for...Bathroom trim.

I am sure glad I wasn't a pellet pig at $4.65 a bag.

Beat that you pellet gurus.
(little oink..)
:)

Here in Ohio they have been $3.49 for almost the whole season. Someone on here the other day started a thread that said there Menard's in Southern Ohio had them for $3.18 a bag. or $156 a ton. I seen the sale back in November, and when i seen they were Somersets, I snagged me up some..

Yep today was last day for $3.18/bag here but they already had next weeks tag on the shelf for $3.49

That's still $175 a ton.. I bought 3 ton in Novemebr for that price. Somersets are a great pellet for that price. Wish I would have known about the $3.18. Because a hardwood flooring plant likely has a pretty good quality control and the same fiber all the time. They burnt great for me. Good Heat, pretty low ash.

I had some trouble with somersets earlier this year but I think some had gotten wet some how. I am still buying them when they are cheap and they seem great now. my stove holds nearly 9 bags of pellets at a time and the somersets will keep the fire hoppin nice and tall for days without even opening the door to scrape or clean.

What Menard's are you buying them from? I go to the one in Ontario (Mansfield) about 40 mins away from me.

Lancaster Ohio just about 30 minutes south of Columbus. I went in and got nearly another ton this weekend while in town.

We're seeing high ash on the latest shipment of Indecks here in the Twin Cities, may be lot to lot differences. For what it is worth, just a reminder that even though it is the same brand you can have significant quality changes lot to lot. I just bought 6 bags from Menard's in S St. Paul, MN, needed to clean the stove after each bag due to ash in the pot causing misfires, glad only 6.
