Last year quoted 600 bucks, this year is 750. What is it in your neck of the woods? they tell me 6 to 7 cord on a load. If they are predicting 4 dollar a gallon gas by spring and 5 bucks a gallon by 2012 I figure next year a Tri axle load will be a grand or more. I wouldn't want to guess where oil will be. Ouch!

What is C/S/D going for multiple cords? 7 honest cords of Ash at $1k here. Lots of ash and underemployed folks.

This area of ontario right now is 800-950 for the tri axle and 250 -275 for cut ,split and buyer has to p/u.

A colleague just found a guy that will deliver 8 cord for $750 - mixed hardwood. He is having 2 loads delivered ASAP. Cheers!

7 cord ash delivered CSD for $1k- I don't think we've seen prices like that here in 30 years.

NH- care to share that source... buddy?

Adios - absolutely. I'll ask my colleague for his info. The logger is cutting about 200 cord from, I believe, the Alstead/Acworth area. Not sure how far away you are, but he told my colleague that it would be about $50 more to deliver to me, than to my colleague. I'm about 25-30 min farther drive for the logger. PM me so that I'll remember to do this!!! Cheers!

I have been paying $800 for this load for the past 2 years. A little less in the previous years. Hoping the price stays the same this year!!

SW Ontario I just paid $900 for the front part of the logging truck,8.5 bush cord+/-, same price for the last 3 years. The truck that dropped ours off had a double axel and the trailers are a little bigger. crs7200, is that price for the whole truck load?

Why is wood so expensive in NH? dang that state is 80% forest! A face of ash CSD here is 60 bucks. Full cords of mixed hardwood is running 140 to 160 CSD.

I bought a grapple load just after X-mass delivered for $400. Guy claimed it's between 4-5 cord..... I'll know for sure only after the snow melts and its stacked ,but I'm guessing its just over 4. Me thinks thats a decent deal.

No pine.... However, one log was silver maple and 2 others were from standing dead.... beech and hickory. All the other logs were green and fresh cut and under twenty inches in diameter. This was my first time buying log length and I'm quite pleased. no birch

Yep, it's for the truck and trailer.

I got 2 quotes for 8 cord loads. $800.00 from both loggers. got on the wait list with one, the other lost some time due to the snow and is getting caught up. Hope to have a load in the yard soon.
Will

--That's a helluva good deal.

Wow that's expensive. I got a 6 cord load for $450 this year. Local tree service is happy to get rid of it, they have been busy clearing trees from these winter storms. They're right down the road though which I'm sure helps out.

Husky Who was that? I'm down in the Colchester area and might be interested in a truck load if I can't scrounge enough.

Thanks

Too bad you're down in Colchester. They are out of Suffield, I doubt they'll deliver to your area. I'd suggest calling local tree services in the phone book. I'll PM you the name of the company anyway if you want to call them.

Roughly 12-14 cord. It was in my woodshed. Actually wood dimensions were 17x16x7

Local logger in Herkimer area. 315-866-4435

Hey Jer. You didn't burn up all that wood did you? Gotta get my order in. This is about the time I usually call.

Part #2. Just called Fran. Said he may have mine next week or week after. So.... if you get bored cutting your wood, come on down and cut mine...ha.

Keep saying I want to get 2 loads so I can get ahead of the game, but, seems like something always coes up to take my $$$$ away.

If I could get that much delivered here for that price it would be tempting to stop scrounging. That load would easily be $1200 here.
