Hey guys, got a clunking started in my 11 year old EF-3,its comming from bottom of Auger, kinda random, not consistent. So i cleaned the hopper this Morn, took a look at bottom of auger through the top, there was about 3/8 inch play side to side.Pulled it out of the hopper from bottom, the brass bushing has been worn down tremendously.but the bottom half was fine, so i flipped it over, re-installed auger and Motor, was fine for few hours, now snapping again, same spot.
Is there a replacement Upgrade for that auger bushing/Plate( 50-1780 ) Like there is for the Whitfield AUGER ENDPLATE PP4010 - PSP - WHS
as opposed to putting another Brass one in

You got 11 years use out of a brass bushing and you are looking for an upgrade? :)

I'd say you got a great service life out of it. I'll bet most stove owners would be happy.

Remember they are made from brass to intentionally wear out. That way your auger tube won't.

If you know the size of the bushing ID-OD-Length (Take it out and measure it) you should be able to find a replacement at one of the industrial suppliers.

McMaster-Carr comes to mind. Check out Oil Impregnated bushings.

Thanks Nailer for response, no i thought 11 years was pretty good out of it.I went to all the Industrial shops handy when i took the old one out to match it up.Prob was i was matching it up to a bushing that had the collar completly wron off.so i got a replacement at Industrial supply for $.98, put it in, still did same noise, then i looked at a pic of the original, seen i had a collar missing, this keeps the Bushing in place in the hole in the plate.
Long story short, just got back from the Enviro dealer, had them right on the shelf, little Pricey at $15, but its proper part.take that over nother 10 years, price won,t hurt sooo bad, hahaah...
