The way things are looking right now, I may not even HAVE to uncover the 2 cord stack!! C'mon SPRING!!

Just think how much better that 2 cord will burn if left another year in the stack. I agree; c'mon spring! Bring on the mud.

Wood consumption has decreased.......a little. Cold spell coming soon though.
Before the mud is the thaw, then refreeze. That's what we're getting right now. THEN, we get the mud and the mess from the dogs.
C'mon cold, then go straight to 65. Yep, that'll do it.

It ain't over yet, this is just a teaser! I'm sure I'll be burning in some capacity till May!

I hope Winter isn't over yet . . . I still want to keep playing . . . although my wife is rooting for an early Spring.

Come March I am usually down to 1 wood stove and that one goes out around April 1. I would love to stop earlier...

Same here, 13 last night after an afternoon high of 48, that is a 35 degree drop in less than 12 hours.. Lows near zero coming overnight, so lots of good wood will be used here. But after that, there will be a couple of days of improving temps with the high near 50 predicted for Friday. Then cold again for the weekend. Too early to predict how much I'll end up burning, with the unpredictable weather around here. But, I would guess somehwere around 1+ cords. I guess our shoulder season is officially here, thank goodness. I don't know how much more of the constant freezing temps we could put up with.

I think your wood might spoil, the way food does. Best give it to me rather than let it go to waste.

still got quite a bit of snow on the ground here ( if it's fair to call it snow, it's more like ice even though it is white)
kinda glad for the ups and downs in the temps and no extreme prolonged highs
wouldn't want this to melt all at once
just because I haven't seen the lawn since last December some time
