Well, not really, but this happened while I was burning down some coals. Went on for about 5 minutes. You'll have to pardon my poor cell phone quality video and complete lack of steadycam.

Nice fire. What am I missing?

Looks like a gas fire!

There was more than just coals in there. Great looking fire. Those are the type we love to watch.

+1

Had to be more than coals. Some unburnt, ungassed wood there somewhere. So purdy ...

So what is the secret? How can I get one?

Mesmerizing...

That's quite a light show for a cat stove. It looks like our T6 with a couple big splits on the sides and a small one in the middle.

It is as it should be.

Carry on.

That is how to clean soot off the glass without getting your hands dirty.

It's 9:15 EST now and you have 135 views on your video already. Every one of them from here, I'm sure.. We do love to look at a fire don't we

Beautiful. Lapping tongues of fire. That's what we look for in a secondary burn. Good way to keep the glass clean.

Wow we had a miniature version of this tonite. It was magical. Flames just coming down and dancing along the side of the glass. Did not video it...I couldn't tell you how the heck to do it....but it's great. No funny stuff Al, straight as an arrow....I swear.
