been a warm week here in central ohio
had to shut the stove down
even running on 3 the house was way to hot
figured if I was going to lower it
I would just shut her down

it will be back on temps dropping Monday

Yep...shut down yesterday morning....it hit like 62degrees here in Central Illinois. Looks like I'm not firing up again until Sunday night. Wife was already complaining that although the house was still 70deg...it wasn't as warm as 70deg with it running.

Yup, and I had the windows open yesterday. Had to air the beast out! Hopefully again today too!

No, I just set it to Auto/Off thermostat. She will come on when the stat calls for heat. Dang near like a furnace when you set um up with a stat. :) Supposed to be cold again this weekend, So I will change the mode to High/low for the overnight low temps. I just love all the gadget's this stove has to play with!

With the PDV on the stat, it gets a little too warm in the day time. The wife will shut it down today and start it back up when I get home from work. It's getting to that time of year when I wish I had an auto / off stove. :(

The last two days have been warm enough to not use our stove so took the opportunity to clean it out. Tomorrow I'll fire it back up as the temps are supposed to start dropping again.

Still have 55 or 60 bags left so may be able to last the season out. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet (or pellet) and get another two tons this year. With all the snow on the ground and no paved driveway I have to have them delivered on the grass.

i didnt shut down but switched over to room temp......wasnt on all day yesterday and it kicked on about midnight and just went off, wont be on all day today

Was on the road all week, so it was off, but I only shut'er down to clean it out on a Sunday AM. Winter is coming back tonight, at least here in New England...It ain't over yet.

Yeah, no kiddin'. Kinda feel sorry for those poor folks having to deal with 60-70 degrees, s'posed to get around 40 here today, back to 30s tomorrow, lows back around 0 by Monday

I ran the insert on Room Temp yesteday and it maintained a nice comfortable 70 degrees. Today I'm going to let run out off Pellets, turn it off and give it a cleaning before the cooler weekend weather kicks in!

Shut the stove down most of the afternoon gave it a good cleaning but had to fire it back up early evening when it started getting cold again.
Love those warm days :)

Me too. Shut it down for the first time in a while. Cleaned it up down and sideways. Looks like I will have to fire it up again tomorrow though....

Last 3 days, ony been running it till we go to bed. Wake up, and its only 68 in the house. Wife don't like it. Today will be the last day for that. Colder tomorrow.

My breckwell in the basement is on a stat so its off during the day anyways, and the new stove in the den is intended to only be run when we are in there. So yea they are off ;)

Will be heating some in May.

It's off now. 60 degrees out. Turned it off most of the afternoon the last 2 days.

Time for the shorts. Unfortunately it's supposed to go back to somewhat normal tomorrow.

This week has been cold and snowy.

We had out shot of warm weather a couple weeks ago and had the stoves off during the day and then relight at night.

Enjoy it while you can, it may change soon.

That's Tough J

Maybe someday they will make a wood pellet stove that automatically switches between Auto Hi/Lo and Auto On/Off by itself !!! LOL

Then it would be automated as good as an oil or gas furnace.

Both stoves have been off a week. It was 70 yesterday here in Cincinnati.

Wow, must be nice to have such temps...we are still in the throws of winter up here...windy and only 34 right now...

Mt. Vernon does it all for me, just set a temp and you are good to go!

No need to keep turning on and off!

Nah just cut it down to #1 setting and
had the windows open. Going back to
cold tonight so didn't see any point shutting
it off.
