Dead stove

Long time reader, first time post:

I'm usually pretty good at trouble shooting my stove and usually able to get it running but not this time. Here is my issue:

Stove was not feeding pellets was the initial issue.

Ran through all of the checklists.
Cleaned it out from top to bottom
by passed all the switches, by passed the vacuum, did the lamp test- motor is working fine.

Problem is that I have no power to the orange wires or snap disk 2. Checked my control box, and that is fine.

This is where I'm at now.
 
He is the wiring chart. Looking at it I see the wire color actually is red at the control panel. Orange is for the TC. See if you have power down at the red wire at the junction box.

Press the reset buttons on both snap disc #2, and #3 do it with the stove off and unplugged.
 
Checked the wires and no power on the red wires or orange wires. checked the rest of the wires and we have no power on the yellow, and the white wires.
 
with the stove off and unpluged try removing each connection and wipe the contacts with emery/sand paper could just be a residue build up.
 
not to sound like a total idiot, but when you say remove each connection, are you talking about removing from where? I have already cleaned out all of the spade connections where I bypass the switches. Is there a way to check all of the connections inside the wire harnass. It seems to be sealed, should I take that apart?

You probably already know this by my description but there is no power going to the ignitor, the thermacouple, or the auger.
 
if you already removed and cleaned the spade connections then that eliminates my idea, I usually find if i have trouble with an appliance cleaning the contacts fixes the problem 50% of the time.
sorry i dont have any other idea's on your situation. Did you ring the manufacturer's support line ?
 
not yet, was planning to do that tomorrow morning but wanted to get a jump on it tonight. Thanks for you help. I have a feeling I'm missing something, and it will probably be something simple, like plug in the stove.. just kidding.
 
Is there any power in the stove at all, that #3 snap disc is in the so called live line from the wall outlet just before that switch is a fuse .... is that fuse blown?

Good, now that power line goes to pin twelve on the large connector via a grey wire and to pin 2 on the small connector.

Please verify there is power at those two points (be careful, you don't want to zap yourself or worse).

I'm pretty sure that bugzme was referring to the contacts on the plugs I've now pointed out to you. If the contacts are dirty then the power won't get to where it needs to go. That includes the controller.
 
Digging thru my notes there is a fuse inside the controller. I almost bought a new controller when mine did a similar thing. Dealer said they were not servicable. Well I asumed it was junk, But something told me to open it up. Sure enough the fuse was blown. Worth a shot?
 
Jay just so you know there is another thread on here with the same situation (from the description given).

I was going to trace the whole thing if needed.
 
can anyone answer this? -> I lose power when I jump the vacuum switch. I have power to the red wire but as soon as I conect the jumper, I check it again, and no power to the orange or even the red wire??
 
by the way, the fuse inside the control box is good.

And again not to sound like an idiot, but I have checked the continuity on pin 12 via the gray wire, and that's good, but when you say check pin 2 on the small connector, where do you mean?
 
Pin 11 purple line to convection blower and pin 13 blue combustion blower should have power on them if the stove has been turned on and the combustion blower should start up.

You might want to check for shorts. The vacuum switch goes to the snap disc shorting the vacuum switch should provide power to the snap disc and the auger motor via the capacitor. You can lift the lead going from the snap switch to the capacitor and there should be power on the snap disc on both sides.

ETA: What was the voltage you were seeing before it went away?
