Has anyone purchased pellets on Long Island from Lowes or Home Depot in the last week or two? I checked a few Home Depot stores but they were sold out for the season. I need another ton to get me through this winter.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Thanks.

bump. Anyone purchase pellets on LI recently? I need another ton to get me through the winter.

Best way to find em is to call around the Lowes/HD stores in your area.
By the time ya see it here they could be gone.

Down to 5 bags of the 3 tons I started with as well. I have to make a few calls tomorrow to see what I can find. Don't really want a ton though. Don't want to store them all summer. Hoping the weather breaks and the temps goes into the 50's soon so I can shut it down for the season.

There is a guy I forgot about called Metro Pellet 312 main street Patchogue 631-475-5540. I know he sells by the bag but I do not know what stock he has left. Pellets were so cheap at lowes and HD it wasnt cost effective for me to do business with him. However he is a nice fellow and may be able to help you out his name is Paul Lodi. let me know how you make out. update went to Medford claimed they were getting pellets in tommorrow. I have heard that before

Yes, called earlier on Thursday and they weren't in yet. Going Friday morning to pick up 10 bags to get through the last of the cold. Killing us a 6:00 per bag.

Does anyone know if Lowes or Home Depot on Long Island started stocking pellets for the 2011-2012 season yet? If so, what are the prices looking like?

Are we going to see the $187 Stove Chow's again this year?

Thanks.

I haven't heard any news from LI, But the rest of New England is seeing Stove Chow, MWP and Green Teams for $197/ton at the box stores. So there is a chance you might see some.

Home Depot and Lowes on LI very slow getting pellets every year. May not see them in stock until September.

I went to Home Depot in Patchogue yesterday but they were all out of pellets. The are expecting another delivery in the next few days. They have a sign up...$197/ton.

The home depot in South Setauket has zippo.

CALL YOUR HD MAKE SURE THEY CARRY PELLETS THIS YEAR, MANY STORES WILL NOT CARRY THEM, IF THEY DONT CARRY THEM THEN LOWES WILL STILL BE AT 298.00 AND WONT GO DOWN IN PRICE, IF YOU SPEAK TO THE MANAGER AND REQUEST THEM TO ORDER THEM, AS OF NOW BAYSHORE, WEST PATCHOGUE AND SMITHTOWN ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT WILL CARRY THEM,

I've been calling the Patchogue Home Depot every day. They finally got their long overdue pellet delivery (60 tons) yesterday evening. I stopped by today and they are down to 8 tons left. Two other people at the customer service counter were ordering pellets with me. They will likely be gone very soon.

Also, they are selling American Wood Fibers instead of Stow Chow. The price is the same. I hope they burn as good as Stove Chow. They honored the Lowes 10% off moving coupon and I had another coupon for 12 months no interest. The price was $177 per ton. I ordered 4 tons and delivery was $85.

Get'em while you can.

I HAVE BEEN CALLING ALSO, I CALLED FRIDAY AT 12 PM AND NOTHING BY 11 AM SAT MORNING GONE THEY SAID, BAYSHORE, SMITHTOWN DEER PARK ALL SAID THEY ARE GETTING THEM AND LOWES IS 100 MORE A TONE AND THEY ARE A PAIN TO DEAL WITH, THE ONLY REASON WHY THEY GO TO 200 A TON IS BECAUSE HD SELLS IT, AND ITS A FIGHT, I WOULD RATHER GIVE MY BUSINESS TO HD FOR THAT REASON, I SPOKE TO CORP OFFICE AT DEPOT AND THEY SAID IF YOU SPEAK TO THE MANAGER OF EACH STORE THEY CAN ORDER THEM FROM CORP, THAT IS WHY BAYSHORE" CHUCK MANAGER" AND SMITHTOWN IS GETTING THEM, SO IF ANYONE STILL WANTS THEM TO STOCK EM CALL THE MANAGER AND REQUEST IT, ITS THE ONLY WAY TO ENSURE THE PRICE

Has anyone seen pellets at the local long island box stores yet? Any price reports? Trying to get a jump on the season and top off the stash.

Thanks.
