For those of you who are the "praying" type............

The wife's M.S. has gotten worse lately, so the fire doesn't get tended to much, these days. The temps have definitely been "shoulder" like and I'm too busy caring for her.

Recently (and it's happened a few times before) I have found her unconscious on the floor. She hadn't fallen, but had felt she was going to pass out, and laid down. Her multiple meds are a constant, and now she's caught a flue bug that has her draining from both ends.

Ok, enough........but we had a flooded basement on top of all that, due to large amounts of melting snow, and heavy rainfall.

So the wood stove sits idle, and that's ok............but keep her (Bette) in your prayers, eh? 'Preciate it!

Both her and you...will do.

My father used to say, all the time, "That reminds me of a story," and then proceed to tell it. As kids, we'd roll our eyes and groan, but I think that he passed a sleeper gene on for it, because I do that now.

Your post triggered the memory of this story, told by a woman who was responsible for caring for both of her aging parents. They both were getting senile and forgetful, and their daughter moved them into her house, into a room next to her bedroom so she could hear them in the night if they needed help. The parents were having a bit of trouble adjusting to the move, and were disoriented. Late one night she heard them talking to each other. Her dad said to his wife, "Where are we?" and the answer came back, "I don't know. But we're together."

I'm sorry to hear that your wife is suffering, and I know you must be, too. But I'm glad for both of you that you're together.

Prayer done. I wish you and your wife the best, good luck and God bless.

Soupy, My wife and I will both say prayers for you and your wife. I understand your pain. Mine has Rheumatoid Arthritis which, like MS, is an auto immune disease, and so hard for doctors to treat, since they really don't know that much about it. You take care of her and God bless! Steve

Soupy, May the good Lord grant your wife the health she needs to feel better and you the serenity to care for her.

Franklin
